New Programs Proposal / Pro Forma
Before launching a new academic program, the Provost's Office requires the academic unit proposing the program to complete a prospectus (if required by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges-SACSCOC) and a pro forma, in addition to the Academic Program Changes form for the Graduate Council or Undergraduate Council. The New Program Prospectus is required only for those new programs that constitute substantive change, according to SACSCOC; if you need help in determining if your new program falls in the substantive change category, consult Mercer University's Substantive Change policy and discuss with your SACSCOC Liaison, Susan Malone (Malone_sc@mercer.edu).
- Submit the New Programs Prospectus (Microsoft Word) and the Pro Forma (Microsoft Excel - Budget Tables) to Jim Netherton at email@example.com for approval, prior to submitting the new program to the appropriate academic committee. Please note that you will need to save these documents to your hard drive to be able to modify them. Selecting the "Open" option will not allow you to modify the documents.
